Floating by, the exotic and the odd

The banner on the 2nd floor reads "Macau"

I am intrigued and

I wonder, wouldn't you?

The Vespa for two-- on the way to work?

I am curious, and I wonder

Spaces above floors revealing sky

Revealing taller structures, hidden gardens,

More mysteries, urban and urbane,

And I wonder, don't you?

What' behind the facade?

What's above it?

Interstices with infinite possibility,

And I wonder, shouldn't I?

Lest I forget

Lest I forget to share with you

The secrets of the universe

Which like the secrets of our hearts

Brim with love and overflow with empathy

Lest I forget, remind me of this day

The glorious sunset, the inviting sunrise

Lest I forget, you must remember

As time runs out....

Sleepy and slothful,

Letting age rob him of every impulse to move,

As time runs out, it is no longer of concern

Or even interest, as it passes from night to day

And back again.
