Another poem of love for you

It is a feeling that you are reeling

Is it real this feeling of reeling

Or is it love?

Reeling and wheeling freely and

Free-wheeling and reeling then

Stealing a kiss or two  and touching the ceiling

Is it real or is it you?

This is my feeling like I am set loose and

I am reeling and really in love with you

(Love poem #29)

Love Poen #19

A Valentine’s Poem

I will always depend

On your touch to guide me

On your smile to warm me and beguile me

On your hug to reassure me

On your laugh to amuse me and make me laugh

On your love to caress me

I will always depend on you

Desire quietly creeps

Desire creeps on little cat feet,

Slowly, steathily, filling the darkness

With softness and moaning

Thought held hostage to the foggy

Ache of need, willing our bodies

To act, steaming up the night,

Desire is the crescendo of our love

Our bodies know our minds and follow

Those tender cat paws into the darkness,

They know our hearts as the darkness

Fills with the heat of night

-----------------------------------------------------------
A footnote: Over 50 years ago, I wrote a poem in which
desire crept quietly on little cat feet, and the steamy heat
is all that remains of the original in my mind. This attempt
to reconstruct completely misses but it's fun trying!

All sharp edges

Warmed by sleep,

All sharp edges softened by desire,

Like this, it is so easy to love you,

My desire to please you made keen

Or keener still,

By your gentleness

I am tickled by your grace

I am tickled by your grace of motion

The ease with which you can glide and shuffle

There is a gentleness in your movements

As you sway or wiggle your hips

Just one more delicious detail to cherish

And recall as I sip a coffee at my desk

Longing for your voice and touch to reach out to me
